El Embajador del Perú en Italia, Dr. Carlos Roca Cáceres inauguró el primer Festival Gastronómico “Perú, mucho gusto” en la ciudad de Roma. El evento que tendrá lugar del 9 al 12 de diciembre, se realiza en el exclusivo Hotel de Russie, a pocos pasos de la conocida Piazza del Popolo.

El Embajador Roca Cáceres, dio la bienvenida a los presentes y al hacer una breve reseña sobre la importancia y características de la gastronomía peruana, indicó que ésta es considerada por el Gobierno del Presidente Alan García, como una herramienta de promoción importante en mercados prioritarios como el italiano, donde la cultura culinaria es muy apreciada, augurando que continúe incrementándose el turismo italiano a nuestro país.

Finalmente, invitó a la concurrencia a unirse a los funcionarios de la Embajada del Perú en este evento y degustar los sabores únicos que han transformado la cocina peruana en una de las mejores y más variadas del mundo.
El chef peruano Virgilio Martínez, enviado por la Comisión de Promoción del Turismo -PromPerú-, deleitó a los concurrentes con deliciosos platos de nuestra cocina como el tiradito de corvina en su leche de tigre al rocoto; el anticucho de lomo de res, pepián de choclo y queso andino; el ají de gallina, sobre papas prensadas con ají amarillo, cebollas verdes y emulsión de aceitunas negras; la sopa refrescante de pisco mosto verde y hierbabuena, con tártaro de mango piña y piñones; así como el suspiro a la limeña 2007.

En la inauguración del festival, en el que se ofreció un pisco sour de honor, se hicieron presentes periodistas especializados en gastronomía pertenecientes a los periódicos de mayor difusión en Italia como la Repubblica , el Corriere Della Sera, el Sole 24 Ore y el Messaggero quienes han tenido elogiosos comentarios de los potajes servidos y expresiones resaltando la fama culinaria de nuestro país.
El evento que ha sido organizado por la Embajada del Perú en Italia con el apoyo de PromPerú, continuará luego en la ciudad de Florencia hasta el 16 de diciembre.

The Ambassador of Peru in Italy, Dr. Carlos Roca Cáceres inaugurated the first Gastronomic Festival ” Peru, much I please ” in the city of Rome. The Ambassador Roca Cáceres, gave the welcome to the presents and on having done a brief review on the importance and characteristics of the Peruvian gastronomy, indicated that this one is considered by the Government of the President Alan García, as a tool of important promotion on prior markets as the Italian one, where the culinary culture is very valued, auguring that continues the Italian tourism being increased to our country. Finally, he invited to the concurrence to join the civil servants of the Embassy of Peru in this event and to taste the only flavors that have transformed the Peruvian kitchen into one of the best and more changed of the world.

The Peruvian chef Virgilio Martínez sent by the Commission of Promotion of the Tourism - PromPerú-, delighted the competing ones with delicious plates of our kitchen as the tiradito of bass in his(her,your) milk of tiger to the rocoto; the antipooch of loin of beast, pepián of choclo and Andean cheese; the chili of hen, on dads prensadas with yellow chili, green onions and emulsion of black olives; the refreshing soup of grappa green must and mint, with Tartar of handle pineapple(pine cone) and pine kernels(pinions); as well as the Suspiro a la Limeña 2007.
In the inauguration of the festival, in which a grappa offered sour as honor, they became present journalists specializing in gastronomy belonging to the newspapers of major diffusion in Italy as the Repubblica, Della Sera Will Run, the Sole 24 Prays and the Messaggero who have had eulogistic commentaries of the served pottages and expressions highlighting the culinary reputation of our country.

The event that has been organized by the Embassy of Peru in Italy by PromPerú’s support, will continue then in Florencia’s city until December 16.
